April 16, 1951 — January 18, 2018

Paul Kram, 66, of Langdon, ND, passed away January 18, 2018, at Olathe Health Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas.

Paul was born April 16, 1951 in Langdon to Anton and Jean Kram. He grew up on the family farm in the Wales area and attended Wales School until it closed in 1964. In 1969, Paul graduated from Border Central School in Calvin then graduated from North Dakota State University in 1974 with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. During his high school and college years, he worked for his Uncle Jake and in 1973, did custom harvesting for Chester Malinski of Carrington. Following his college graduation, he worked for Schramm/Hausauer Implement until 1985, Erling's Oil until 1989 and then Langdon Implement where he was employed for 29 years until his retirement in June 2017.

Paul married Nancy Walicski in Sykeston, ND, on October 26, 1974. Paul and Nancy lived in Wales for a short time before making their home in Langdon where they were blessed with two sons, Shawn and Matthew. Paul was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, an active member of the Knights of Columbus, a past Parish Council member and coached pee-wee and little league baseball for 7 years. On Friday nights, you could always catch Paul on the sidelines watching Cardinal football as part of the chain gang. He loved NDSU Bison football, bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening, restoring his 1945 Willy’s Jeep, and spending time with family. Paul’s one weakness in life was his grandson, Stetson. Paul called him his gift.
