Paul J. Clarksean, 89, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the Pembina Memorial Hospital, Cavalier. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial will be held at the Cavalier Cemetery.
Paul was born on December 23, 1923, to Bernhart and Eva (Farquhar) Clarksean in Lime Springs, IA. He moved with his family to Wadena, MN, where he graduated high school and farmed.
On December 3, 1950, he married Delores Krueger in Grand Forks, ND. He worked for the John Deere Dealer in Reynolds, ND. In 1968, the family moved to Cavalier where he purchased the John Deere Implement Dealership.
He enjoyed square dancing, which he and Delores were active in for 45 years. His other hobbies included traveling, rug weaving, and wood working.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; children: Darwin (LeAnn) Clarksean, Big Lake, MN; Denise (Elerth) Arntson, Bismarck, ND; Wayne (Pam) Clarksean, Cavalier, ND: grandchildren: Aaron(Donna) Clarksean, Renee (Jason) Bowen, Travis (Lindsay) Clarksean; Elerth Arntson III, Brian (Anna) Engelhart, Rea Arntson (James Caldow); Shannon (Jonathan) Synstelien, Kyla (Eric) Flowers, Nateal Clarksean; great grandchildren: Stephanie, Samantha, Gage, Logan, and William; Stella and Samuel; Ainsley and Conley; siblings: Elizabeth Batchellor, Denver, CO , Henry (Jeannine) Clarksean, Wadena, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings: Elra Clarksean and Olive Henry.
