Patricia Furstenau

Patricia Furstenau, age 70, of rural Hensel, ND, died on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural St. Thomas, ND . Visitation on Tuesday, April 21st from 5-7 pm with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Lodema Cemetery, rural Hensel, ND.
Pat was born on July 5, 1938 in Walhalla, ND to Gail and Doris (White) Lesher. She attended school in Cavalier, ND. She worked at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier.
On April 25, 1958, she married Ronald Furstenau in Hallock, MN. Following their marriage they lived in the Hensel area. Pat was active in St. Paul's Church, the church quilters, Bible study, and volunteered countless hours at the Borg Home in Mountain, ND. She dedicated her time to her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald , five children, Melody (David) Mugaas , Warroad, MN, Kelly (Debbie) Furstenau ,Cavalier, ND, Kimberly (Larry) Ford ,Jamestown, ND, Ronald Jr. (Tami Dahl) Furstenau ,Hensel, ND, Lisa (Mitchell) Einarson , Cavalier, ND, grandchildren, LaDawn Helgoe, William Helgoe Jr., Dirk Helgoe, Jonathan Einarson, Eric Ford, Michael Ford, Brock Dahl, Krista Dahl, Karlin Dahl, Christina Novak, great-grandchildren, Jordon Helgoe, Brianna Scarsella, Ascenzo Scarsella, Kenny J., Samara Novak and Trenton Novak, one sister, Ila (Joe) Martindale of Cavalier, ND, three brothers, Gail (Margaret) Lesher of Minneapolis, MN, Barclay Lesher of Fargo, ND and Duane Lesher.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
