Orville J. Inglis

Orville J. Inglis, 100, of Walhalla, ND passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, August 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, in Walhalla. Burial will be held in the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla, ND.
Orville J. Inglis was born December 17, 1914, near Leroy, ND to John and Mary Ella (Lutz) Inglis. He grew up in the Leroy area where he attended school and graduated from Walhalla High School. Orville farmed in the Leroy area and then served in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the service he returned to Walhalla, where he worked numerous jobs. Things he enjoyed were woodworking, gardening, and berry picking.
On December 25, 1940, he married Hertha I. Schultz at Gardena, ND. Hertha passed away on August 20, 2008.
Survivors include his children: Dale (Virginia) Inglis, Omaha, NE, Dennis (Peggy) Inglis, Fargo, ND, Keith Inglis, Minneapolis, MN, Lowell Inglis, Brooklyn Center, MN, Lois (Arlan) Amundson, Langdon, ND, Nordis (Manny) Doyle, Cavalier, ND; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; brothers: Eldon, Ralph, and Roy; sisters: Ruby, Cora, Ida, and Ruth.
