Nellie Lenore (Emmett) Hart, 93, formerly of Wales/Langdon, ND passed away December 3, 2007 at home in Alpharetta, GA.
Nellie was born June 29, 1914 in a ââ¬Åtar paper shackââ¬Å¥ in Big Sandy, Montana. She and her family moved from Big Sandy to Calvin, North Dakota in 1920. She attended school at Calvin until the sixth grade when her family moved six miles east to Grey Township. She attended Grey Consolidated and was in the first graduating class of five in 1932, where she was valedictorian; an accomplishment she often joked about.
She was married to Lloyd Hart in 1934. The newlyweds began their life together farming with Lloydââ¬â¢s parents, with whom they lived for the first 19 years of their marriage. After the passing of Lloydââ¬â¢s father, he and Nellie continued on with the family farm and raising their three children near Wales, ND.
Nellie retired from farming and eventually made her home in Langdon, North Dakota after Lloydââ¬â¢s passing in 1972. Her son Lyle and his family continued the responsibility of farming the land that she and Lloyd had put their lives into. In October of 1997, Nellie moved with her daughter Lynda and son-in-law Patrick Bodelson to Alpharetta, Georgia, where she enjoyed warmer days, and constant family companionship.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; her parents Ray and Nora, brother Charles (Bud) and sisters Dorothy and Molly. She is survived by a sister Mary (Lavelle) and a brother Joe; son Lyle, daughter-in-law Gayle (Lawrence); daughter Patricia (Forest), son-in-law Richard; daughter Lynda (Bodelson), and son-in-law Patrick. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren: Kathi (Cobey) Theade, their children Clancy and Carter of Red Lodge, MT.; Lori Hart of Farmington, MN.; David (Jane) Hart and their children Taylor, McKenzie and Madison of Langdon, ND; Kelly (Dave) Dantas and their children Benjamin and Sidney of Avon, CO.; Tricia (Kyle) Johnson and their children Asher and Tate of Anchorage, AK.; Lea Rae (Chris) Brueckner of Atlanta, GA.; Marlo (Karl) Kankel and their son Kellan of Lakeville, MN.
