Myrtle Hart, 89 of Pembina, ND died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Pioneer United Methodist Church, Pembina. Visitation on Sunday, February 22nd from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial in the Pembina Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Myrtle Peabody was born March 4, 1919, at Grand Forks, ND to Walter and Etta Mae Peabody.
On January 21, 1944, she married Milfred Hart at East Grand Forks, MN. Milfred passed away on March 13, 2005.
She enjoyed music, family genealogy, writing poetry, and her work as an artist. Myrtle was a member of the Methodist Church, U.M.W. and was also a Sunday school teacher. She was also active in 4-H as a leader, Civic League, Order of Eastern Star, Pembina Historical Society, and Pembina Arts and Crafts.
Survivors include her children, Russell (Dorene) Hart, Mechanicsburg, PA, Carol (DuWayne) Menke, Smyrna, TN, Charles (Patricia Cayley) Hart, Pembina, Cathy (Art) Degelder, Joliette, ND, and Betty Hart, Pembina, eight grandsons, one granddaughter, many great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Warren Hart, Cavalier, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, six brother, and four sisters.

Casket Bearers: Don Emerson, Doug Finney, Jeff Keller, Allan Meagher, Frank Moris, and Jim Moris.
