Monty W. Mostad, 56, of Langdon, ND, passed away November 30, 2013, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.
Monty was born April 25, 1957, at Langdon, ND, to Merwyn E. ââ¬ÅBudââ¬Å¥ and Dolores ââ¬ÅDollyââ¬Å¥ (Hennager) Mostad. He was raised in Langdon where he attended school until 1974. He then transferred to Central High School in Devils Lake, ND, where he graduated in 1978. Monty lived and worked in Devils Lake for a few years after graduation. He then moved home to be near his family and began work in his fatherââ¬â¢s welding shop. He worked at Budââ¬â¢s Welding for many years for his father and later his brother, Bobby. Monty did many things at Budââ¬â¢s, including painting. In the summertime, Monty also worked for his brother, Bobby, mowing the Lebanon Cemetery. During the winter months, he enjoyed bowling. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed downhill skiing and riding bike. He loved to drive around town and always enjoyed people. He didnââ¬â¢t know a stranger- he could visit with anyone. Monty loved his nieces and nephews very much and had a strong faith. Monty was especially close with his mom and dad, making his home with them nearly all his life. He spent the last few years in Grand Forks before returning home to Langdon, where he became a resident of the Maple Manor Care Center in the summer of 2013. Monty was very happy at Maple Manor where he was well cared for and was able to enjoy visiting with his community of family and friends.
Monty is survived by his mom, Dolly Mostad, of Langdon, ND; his siblings: Robert ââ¬ÅBobââ¬Å¥ (Jaci) Mostad of Langdon, ND, Danny (Jane) Mostad of Langdon, ND, Cathy Medlin of Hesston, KS, Lisa (Paul) Downs of Milliken, CO; his precious nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Bud; his grandparents: Edgar and Ida Mostad and Roy and Eileen Hennager; an infant grandnephew, Andrew; and many aunts and uncles.
