Merle D. Danielson

Merle D. Danielson was born January 29, 1927, at Vang, ND to Martin and Golda (Stilwell) Danielson. He grew up and attended school in the Vang area and then attended Hanson's Mechanics School in Fargo.
On August 7, 1949, he married Phyllis Christianson at Kennedy, MN. Merle worked at Soeby Motors in Wahalla for several years.. They moved to Hibbing, MN, where he worked on the Iron Range. In 1960, they returned to the Vang area where he farmed until his retirement. Merle ran the snowplow for Cavalier County for several years.
He served on the Vang Cemetery Board, Vang Township Board, and the Vang Rural Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; children, Marty (LaRae) Danielson, Frazee, MN; Robert (Kim) Danielson, Decatur, MI; Melanie (Terry) Anhorn, Littleton, CO; Patricia Danielson, Phoenix, AZ; grandson Andy Danielson; step grandchildren, Jennifer Wolfgram, Andy and Steven Drenth; brother, Orville (Sally) Danielson, Mission Viejo, CA; two nephews and three nieces.
Merle was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Fern Petersburg and Ordell Rustad.
