Melissa M. Carpenter Johnson age 30 of Cavalier, and Pembina died on Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be on Monday, October 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Visitation for one hour before services on Monday. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Melissa May Carpenter was born October 23, 1974, at Cavalier, ND to Mike and Ruth (Brown) Carpenter. She grew up and attended school at Cavalier, graduating from Cavalier High School in 1993. Melissa worked as a licensed reflexologist at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier. While in Devils Lake she started a cancer support group and was a miracle inspiration to others. One of her true enjoyments in life was her son Reed and other family members. Her hobbies include baking, horseback riding and music.
On March 29, 2004, she married Darin Johnson at Fargo, ND.
She is survived by her husband Darin, son Reed Erickson, Cavalier, parents, Mike and Ruth Carpenter, Cavalier, brothers, Micheal (Sarah) Carpenter, Stoughton, WI and Marcus Carpenter, Cavalier, and sister, Melinda Carpenter, Cavalier, ND.
Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents.
