Mattie J. Rachel age 74 of Walhalla, ND formerly of Illinois died on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 2 PM at Walhalla Assembly of God Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 5-7 PM at Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla, ND.
Mattie Jane Rachel was born on December 12, 1935 in Boaz, Kentucky to Kay and Helen T. (Saltzgiver) Wooley. She is survived by four children, David (Barbara) Keeling of Huntsville, Texas, Brenda Kay Gill of Brunswick, Georgia, Judy Ann Keeling of East Hazel Crest, Illinois, and Betty (George) Mock of Walhalla, North Dakota; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul (Joyce) Wooley and Robert (Phyllis) Wooley, both of Boaz, Kentucky, and James Wooley, Vancouver, Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
