Mary Scott, 88, of Walhalla, ND passed away, Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Walhalla. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla. Visitation will be held Monday, October 5th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church. Burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Mary Bartlette was born June 26, 1927 to John and Veronica (Bruce) Bartlette in Leroy, ND. She grew up in the Leroy and Walhalla area. On November 8, 1947, she married Charles Scott in Crookston, MN. After their marriage, they lived in California, Germany and Virginia while Charlie served in the U.S. Army. They returned to the Walhalla area in 1966, where Mary worked at Lorraine Cafĩ, Jim's Bottle Shop, and volunteered at St. Boniface Thrift Store for many years. Charles passed away on April 1, 1998. Things she enjoyed were baking, reading, and visiting friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her daughters: Linda (Mike) Busse, Cavalier, ND, Sharon (Mike) Prosby, Valley City, ND; grandchildren: Aliesha, Natasha, and Donald; Jackie and Ian; Doug, Angie, and Maria; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Soby, Cottage Grove, MN; daughter-in-law, Sylvia, Encinitas, CA.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; sons: Patrick and Wayne Scott; brothers: John, Patrick, and Gene; sisters: Bernadette, Julia, Elsie, Beatrice, and Lillian.
