Mary E. Monette

     Mary E. Monette, 68, of Cavalier, ND. passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Olga, ND.

     Mary Elizabeth Beaudoin was born April 20, 1951 at Grafton, ND to Donald and Helen (Crawford) Beaudoin. She grew up and attended school in Cavalier.

     On May 13, 1977, she married Robert J. Monette in Cavalier. They lived in Cavalier after their marriage, where she operated a home daycare. She loved raising her children as well as those children who came to her daycare. Mary then worked at the Developmental Center in Grafton, ND, while there she enjoyed her clients and transitioning them into the workforce. Things she enjoyed were cross stitching, canning, and baking.

     She is survived by her children: Tammy Brooks, Devils Lake, ND, Dawn (Sean) Fraser, Cavalier, ND, Daniel (Michelle) Monette, Reynolds, ND, and Gary Monette, Cavalier; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings: Marlene (Rick) Dorion, Marlys (Ken) Billings, Margie Marciniak, and Mike (Becky) Beaudoin.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Don and Helen and her husband, Robert.
