Mary E. Ault

Mary Ellen Ault, 78, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Brigid's Catholic Church in Cavalier. Visitation will be held Wednesday January 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church.
Mary Ellen Gibson was born February 21, 1938 at Leroy, ND to William and Alma (Martineau) Gibson. She grew up in Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School in 1956.
On July 13, 1959, she married Lyle Ault in Cavalier. She worked at the First State Bank in Cavalier and Mary and Lyle owned and operated Lyle's Jack and Jill. Mary especially loved her grandchildren and loved to laugh. Other things she enjoyed were, cross stitching, crocheting, knitting, and going out for lunch. Mary taught CCD at St. Brigid's Church for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle; children: Terry (Brenda) Ault, East Grand Forks, MN and Tina (Gary) Brevik, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Derek (Wendy) Ault, Brandon (Kelli) Ault, Gavin (Megan) Ault, Brittany Brevik (Joey Busse), and Darian Brevik (Jami Peden); great-grandchildren: Derek, Avery, Reace, Peyton, and Leah; siblings: Dolores Indridson and Pete Gibson.
Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Mae Lawonn and Bill Gibson.
