Marvin John Scholler, 69, of Cavalier, ND passed away Monday, November 14, 2016, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service at the church. In lieu of flowers mass intentions are preferred to St. Brigid's Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND.
Marvin John Scholler was born November 19, 1946 at Bathgate, ND to John and Bernice (Lemier) Scholler. He grew up in the Bathgate area and graduated from Neche High School. Marvin served in the North Dakota National Guard.
On July 25, 1970, he married Carol LeTexier at Cavalier. After their marriage, he worked for Russell Kihne Construction, Minnesota Dairy for 28 years as a milkman, Mayo Construction, and Loren Estad.
He also worked part-time for Merle Ault on his farm and Schulz Farms.
Things he enjoyed were gardening, dancing, fishing, and driving his John Deere tractor. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. During his life, he was an altar server at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bathgate and St. Brigid's of Ireland Catholic Church in Cavalier.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; children: Melissa (James) Young, St. Thomas, ND, John (Misty) Scholler, Apple Valley, MN, Tara (Brian) Sondeland, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Nicholas, Harrison, and Jonathan Young; Samantha, Zachary, and Jadyn Scholler; Seth, Sophie, Ellie, Averie, Beau, and Reid Sondeland; sister, Betty (Mike) Olason; sister-in-law, Dorothy Scholler.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant brother, John; brothers: Larry and LaVerne.
