Martha Muth

Martha Muth, 92, of Cavalier, ND passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, where she has resided for the past two years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, February 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Martha M. Stegman was born September 7, 1923 at Neche, ND to Edward and Maria (Schmidtke) Stegman. Martha was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Neche, ND.
On January 8, 1942, she married Edward Muth at Neche.
She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Cavalier, its LWML where in earlier years she enjoyed helping with quilting and serving.
Martha worked for 30 plus years in the Cavalier school kitchen and so enjoyed students going thru the food line, she was a Grandma to many. She was also known for her sour cream raisin pies at Thompson's Café. Her hobby was crocheting it kept her hands always busy.
Survivors include her children: Helen (Linden) Johnson, Langdon, ND, Gladys Hillman and Karen (Marvin) Bohn all of Cavalier, Elmer (Vicki) Muth, Surprise, AZ, Ronald (Nita) Muth, Mesa, AZ, Shelley (Patrick) Mack, Jamestown, ND, Kelley (Daryl) Thompson, Cavalier; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Russell Littlejohn, St. Thomas, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Edward on August 19, 2000; daughter, Connie Littlejohn; son-in-law, Greemer Hillman; one great-grandchild; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters.
