Marjorie Keeling, 74, of Walhalla, ND passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Walhalla.
Marjorie was born August 8, 1938, at Fulda, ND to Louis and Lena (Marquart) Hoffert. She graduated from high school at Devils Lake, ND, where she also received her nurses training. She later worked as a nurse in Bismarck, ND.
On December 28, 1960, she married Leo Keeling at Fulda, ND. After their marriage they farmed in the Walhalla area. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, antiques, crafts, and quilting. She was also a CCD teacher at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leo; children: Larry (Geri) Keeling, Chandler, AZ and Nancy Holm (fiancĩ, Clay Swanson), Hoople, ND; grandsons: Tyson and Jacob Holm; siblings: Pete Hoffert, Rugby, ND; Agnes (George) Voeller, Vancouver, WA; Kay (John) Daugherty, Green Bay, WI; Eva (Phil) Martin, Alexandria, MN; Morris (Vera) Hoffert, Merced, CA; Ann (Dennis) Niess, Green Bay, WI; Shelli (Arlen) Larson, Willow City, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Keith; and siblings: Dennis, Marian, and Joe.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Tom Feltman; Honorary Pallbearers: All of Marjorie's Family and Friends; Music: Amy Carignan, Cantor and Bernadine Kopf, Accompanist.
