Marjorie Domres, 101, of Langdon, ND, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Marjorie Borho was born March 26, 1917, near Wales, ND, to George and Clara (Koehmstedt) Borho. She graduated from Minto High School in 1934 and attended NYA School in Fargo. During World War II, she joined the Womenââ¬â¢s Army Auxiliary Corp. On December 30, 1943, Marjorie married Arthur ââ¬ÅBudââ¬Å¥ Domres in Wales. They farmed in the Wales area for many years. Marjorie also sold cosmetics with House of Stuart. She loved to bake and was always ready to visit or go to the activities of her grandkids. Her religion and praying the rosary were very important to her. Marjorie was a member of Busy Matrons Homemakers Club, St. Michaelââ¬â¢s Catholic Church and Altar Society in Wales, and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon. She moved to Langdon in 1989 and was able to live on her own until the age of 98 before moving to the Osnabrock Living Center and then Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Surviving Marjorie are her children: Carol Welsh of Langdon and Fred (Judy) Domres of Wales; grandchildren: Dave (Stacey) Welsh, Sherry (Steve) Buchweitz, Kevin (Steph) Welsh, Todd (Gail) Domres and Deb (Clint) Erhardt; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur ââ¬ÅBudââ¬Å¥, sister Dorothy (Anthony) Schneider, and son-in-law Kenny Welsh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will begin one hour before service time. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
