Marie L. Petroski

Marie L. Petroski age 90, of Cavalier, ND, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at MeritCare South, Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Neche, ND. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Marie L. Stegman was born July 11, 1918, in the Neche and Bathgate area to William and Beata (Gross) Stegman. She grew up in the Bathgate area.
On March 13, 1936, she married Steve J. Petroski at Bathgate. They lived in Illinois until 1979, when they moved to Cavalier. Steve passed away on March 20, 1983. She was a resident of the Borg Memorial Home, Mountain and the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose Marie (Percy) Bourbanis, Algoma, WI, stepchildren, Julia (John) McCann, Homewood, IL, and Stephen and Robert Petroski; brother, Herbert (Carol) Stegman, Drayton, ND; sisters, Hilda (Neil) Doten,Somer, MT and Freida (Larry) O'Hara, Napavine, WA; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Stegman, Bathgate, ND and Ruby Stegman, Cavalier, ND; brother-in-law, Harold Hayward, Walhalla, ND and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Elizabeth Hayward and Gertrude Hughes, and brothers, Daniel, Fred, Walter, Albert, and Ernie Stegman.
Clergy: Rev. Adam L. Scheblein.
Casket Bearers: All of Marie's Nieces and Nephews.
