Margery Trenbeath, 85, of Cavalier, ND passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Elin Margery Kristjanson was born December 6, 1932 at Grafton, ND to Johann and Mathilda (Melsted) Kristjanson. She grew up in Thingvalla Township in Pembina County. Margery attended the Eyford School #64 and graduated from Mountain High School in 1950. After attending Mayville State Teachers College, she taught school in Pembina and Drayton, ND. In the fall of 1953, she attended the Deaconess Nursing School in Grand Forks and graduated in 1956 as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse in Two Harbors, MN, St. John's and the VA Hospitals in Fargo, ND, Pioneer Rest Home in Bathgate, ND, and Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier. Things she enjoyed were campfires and being outdoors.
She married Allan Dale Trenbeath on May 12, 1956 at the Eyford Lutheran Church, near Mountain, ND. After their marriage they lived in the Arrowhead area of Minnesota and all four corners of North Dakota. They eventually settled in the Neche area in 1973, where they farmed.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Dawn (Danny) Einarson, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Nicole (David) Brown, Randy (Heather) Einarson, Michael (Erin) Einarson, step-granddaughter, Michelle Coughlin; great-grandchildren: Shaun and Brady Brown; Landyn, Noah, and Paxtyn Einarson; Hoyt Einarson; step-great-granddaughter, Marice Brown; siblings: Marcella Erickson, Melvin (Karen) Kristjanson, Esther Syrup, Alfred Kristjanson, Joyce Perila, George (Diana) Kristjanson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; ex-husband, Dale Trenbeath; siblings: Joe Kristjanson, Sigurros Arlyn Kristjanson, Kristbjorg Hjalmarson, Helen Hurley, and Emily Gudmundson, and special friend, Don Jaster.
