Margaret F. Swanson, 84, of Cavalier, ND and formerly of Langdon, ND died on Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the St Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at the church. Burial in the St. Brigid of Ireland Cemetery.
Margaret F. Klemisch was born July 31, 1926, at Langdon, ND to William and Theresa (Clodt) Klemisch. She grew up in Langdon and graduated from St. Alphonses High School. After attending Valley City State Teachers College she taught in a rural school near Langdon.
She married Sidney Pederson on July 31, 1945. On November 24, 1973, she married Odin Swanson at Walhalla, ND.
Some of her hobbies were gardening, tending to her flowers, needlework and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Odin; children, Karen Ballweg, Mayville, ND Duane Pederson, Fairbanks, AK, Joe (Marilyn) Pederson, Mohall, ND, Tony (Tami) Pederson, East Grand Forks, MN; stepchildren, Douglas Swanson and Keith Swanson, both of Cavalier, ND; 16 grandchildren, six step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren; brothers, Patrick (Retta) Klemisch, Apple Valley, MN and Joe (Arlene) Klemisch, Langdon, ND; sister, Audrey (Bennett) Spenst, Langdon, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Linda Ropple; grandson, Tony Joe Boldt; brothers, Ted, Bob, and Jim; and sisters, Catherine Chaput, Nancy Boldt, and Lucille Gamache.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Robert Pecotte.
Honorary Pallbearers: All of Margaret's Family and Friends.
