Margaret E. Schluchter

Margaret E. Schluchter, 77, of Cavalier, ND died on Monday, June 7, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Margaret Ellen Hanna was born September 26, 1932, at Grafton, ND to Ernie and Nellie (Baird) Hanna. She grew up in the St. Thomas area. After graduating from St. Thomas High School she attended business college in Grand Forks.
On June 15, 1957, she married Harlan Schluchter at the St. Thomas United Methodist Church. After their marriage they lived at Cavalier where they farmed.
She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and its Progressive Workers Group and the Pioneer Daughters. Margaret loved quilting as a pastime.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan; children, Mike Schluchter, Cavalier and Peggy Reimer, Pembina, ND; grandchildren, Heather Hoffman, Travis Hoffman, Samantha Hoffman, Alexis Morrison, Summer Schluchter, and Sunny Schluchter and great granddaughter, Sheyanne Jevne.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Clergy: Rev. Lori Broschat.
Music: Rodger Hartz, Soloist and Cheryl Hartz, Organist.
Honorary Pallbearers: All of Margaret's grandchildren.
Casket Bearers: Keith Hartz, John Jenson, Lindy Johnson, Kurt Kemnitz, Lowen Littlejohn, and Chris Morden.
