Margaret Schill, 89, of Langdon, ND passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.
Margaret Hoffarth was born November 30, 1925 to Dominic and Anna (Schuler) Hoffarth. She received her schooling in the Maida area. Margaret married Joseph Schill on February 17, 1944 in Mt. Carmel, ND. After marrying, Joseph and Margaret made their home in Dresden Township near Hannah, ND where they farmed and raised livestock. Joe and Margaret moved to Maple Manor in Langdon in 2008.
Margaret loved to cook, mow lawn, and especially was proud of her vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed painting, making jewelry, and playing dominos, pinochle and bingo at Maple Manor. She also enjoyed getting her nails done and reading all the cards she received. She was a member of St. Michaelââ¬â¢s Church in Wales and their altar society. She was also a member of Christian Mothers.
Surviving Margaret are her son, Duane of Hannah, ND; grandchildren: Paul (Diane) Iverson, Todd (Cheri) Iverson, Scott (special friend Diane) Iverson; great-grandchildren: Erica Iverson, Chris Iverson, Bre Garza, Sami Iverson, Jessica Iverson, Abigail Iverson, Kylie Yoder, Amanda Oââ¬â¢Keefe, Ross Oââ¬â¢Keefe; great-great grandchild Jack Oââ¬â¢Keefe; and siblings: Frances Fischer of Fargo, ND, Dorothy Johnson of Moorhead, MN, Mary Alice Girodat of Langdon, Lorraine Girodat of Crookston, MN; sisters-in-law: Delores Hoffarth, Grace Hoffarth and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, daughter and son-in-law Kathleen & Bill Iverson, siblings: Joseph, Ronald, Eileen (Stanley) Schill, Loretta (Peter) Schill, infant brother Gilbert, and brothers-in-law: Alfred Johnson, Allen Girodat, Cyril Fischer and Matt Girodat.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. with a rosary & prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also continue for one hour before the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
