Margaret H. Dietrich

Margaret H. Dietrich, 98, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cavalier Baptist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.
Margaret H. Penno was born December 24, 1919 in Grafton, ND to Louis and Hattie (Bomgardner) Penno. She grew up and attended school in the Grafton area. Margaret then worked for various farm families.

On November 2, 1937, she married Peter E. Dietrich at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cavalier. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Hamilton-Glasston area. In 1947, they moved to Cavalier. Margaret resided at the Borg Memorial Home in Mountain, ND, from March 2014 to February 2016, and later Wedgewood Manor.

Things she enjoyed were reading, gardening, baking, sewing, and quilting. She also enjoyed participation in the women’s church organizations. Spending family time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren was an important part of her life.

She is survived by her daughters: Darlene (Dale) Watson and Marlys (Bert) Olson, all of Cavalier, ND; grandsons and their families: Rob Watson and Miranda, Hannah, and Jezimay, Rick (Deana) Watson and Joshua, Levi, and Elias; Mike (Lisa) Watson and Jake, Regan, and Issac.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Peter; brother, Russell; and sisters: Martha, Florence, Edith, and Charlotte.
