Marcella Fickert, 66, of Loma, ND passed away Sunday April 8, 2007 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Marcella Ann Koehmstedt was born August 20, 1940 at Langdon, ND to Anthony Albert and Lena (Villeneuve) Koehmstedt. She was raised at Olga, ND and attended school in the area. She moved to Montana briefly before returning to the Easby area. She was united in marriage to Jake Fickert in 1960 and they established their home in the Loma area where they raised their family. Marcella loved fishing and hunting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jake of Loma, their children: Roger (Rhonda) Fickert, Bejou, MN; Jake Fickert, Munich, ND; LaRaine (Thomas) Hopp, Starkweather, ND; Karen (Lonny) Bruebaker, Garden City, KS, 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brothers and sisters: Vernon Koehmstedt, Langdon; Wallace ââ¬ÅVicââ¬Å¥ Koehmstedt, Great Falls, MT; Allan Koehmstedt, Mayville, WA; Albert Koehmstedt, Walhalla, ND; Zella (Frank) Kuenemon, Rolla, ND; Catherine Fickert, Devils Lake, ND; Helen Hamilton, Clarkston, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son John Fickert, daughter Bernice Fickert, grandson Forrest Fickert, brothers Louis and Frances.
VISITATION Will begin at 2:00pm Friday April 13, 2007 with a 7:00pm Prayer Service all at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon.
SERVICES Saturday April 14, 2007 at 1:00 O ââ¬ï¿½Clock at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Father Tony Hession Officiating.
INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
