Mabel A. Gooselaw age 88 of Pembina, ND., died on Monday, February 14, 2005, at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home, Hallock, MN. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Pioneer United Methodist Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Pembina Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Mabel Agnes Breimon was born May 1, 1916, at Wyndmere, ND., the daughter of Oscar and Amanda Breimon. Her family moved to Idaho at an early age and later returned to North Dakota. She attended school in Pembina.
On September 23, 1934, she married Lewis Gooselaw at Hallock, Minnesota.
She enjoyed reading, poetry, and was very accomplished with her needle works. Lewis and Mabel were renown dancers in the area. She was a member of the Pembina Pioneer United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis, Hallock, MN., daughters, Donna (Vernon) Bennett, Lancaster, MN. and Geraldine (James) Gilmore, Iowa Park, TX., grandchildren, Donovan (Linda) Gunnarson, Kurt Gunnarson, Jamie (Danny) Andrews, great granchildren, D.J. Gunnarson, Kirby Gunnarson, and Jamie Lynn Andrews, half-sisters, Lillian McClelland, Emerson, MB., and Edith Monette, Pembina, ND.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruby Neiman, and brothers, Roy,
Gordon, and Norman Breimon.
