Lydia Pohl

Lydia Pohl, age 93, of Neche, ND died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, Neche, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
Lydia Paetsch was born October 6, 1916, at Jansen, Saskatchewan to Wilhelm and Matilda (Nixdorp) Paetsch. She was raised in Neche by her aunt and uncle Adolph and Amelia Stegman. She lived in Neche her entire life, until entering Pembilier Nursing Center in March of 2002. Lydia enjoyed gardening, flowers, yard work, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On September 19, 1934, she married Adolph Pohl at Christ Lutheran Church in Neche. He passed away in December of 1966.
Survived by her children, Doreen Svenson, Neche, ND and Bob (Barb) Pohl, Dilworth, MN; grandchildren, Randy (Melvira) Svenson, Perry (Susie) Svenson, Janell (Joe) Reniers, Jason, Justin, and Casey Pohl; great grandchildren, James, Kyle, and Brianna Svenson, and Hunter Reniers.
Also preceded in death by her step-parents, Adolph and Amelia Stegman, and son, Reinhold Pohl.
