Lucille J. Sampson

Lucille J. Sampson of Portland OR and formerly of Cavalier, ND died on September 26, 2005, in Portland, OR. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Lucille Joanne Moe was born August 25, 1934, in Grafton, ND to Leif and Julia (Olson) Moe, and grew up in Cavalier.
Lucille moved to Canby, OR in the early sixties and later moved to Portland, where she worked for the Portland School District at a special school for handicapped children.
In 1968, she married Richard Sampson and they lived in Portland until moving to Monmouth, OR in 1997, after they both retired.
She was a member and past trustee of the Independence, OR. Elks Lodge #1950.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Douglas Anderson, Camas, WA; daughter, Laurel Bisson, North Dighton, MA; five grandchilden and four great grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Moe, Cavalier, ND; Leo Moe, Great Falls, MT; Robert Moe, Gold Canyon, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
