Louise Kram

Louise Kram, 95, passed away March 5, 2008 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Louise Bernedean Stamm was born October 6, 1912 to Ferdinand and Anna (Hamann) Stamm at Loma, ND. She grew up at Loma and graduated from Loma High School and later graduated from business college in Grand Forks, ND. She returned to the Loma and Langdon area putting her skills to work helping on the family farm, working for a neighbor and then obtaining employment in Langdon at the Emergency Feed & Seed Loan Office, the WPA Engineers Office and lastly the National Farm Loan Accociation Office where she was employed until her marriage.

Louise and Ralph Kram were united in marriage on November 20, 1940 at Langdon, ND. They were married for 63 years until Ralph passed away January 10, 2004.

Louise was a gracious generous lady. She was a great cook and baker who always shared the many goodies she made. Louise had a "green thumb" and was an avid gardner. She was a prayful woman of great faith. Louise was involved in many community organizations holding various offices in the Cavalier County Farm Bureau Women organization, the Osnabrock Town and Country Senior Citizens, Queen of the Praire Catholic Daughters Court and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the St. Alphonsus Altar Society. She served as Treasurer of Easby Township for 41 years.

Louise is survived by her children: Kenneth of Langdon, Kathyrn (Bradley) Lindstrom of Lake Park, MN and Roger (DeAnn) Kram of Langdon, ND; grandchildren: Sarah, Rachel and Jacob Kram of Langdon, ND, sister Edna Perius of Wadena, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, three brothers: Henry, Joseph & Ferdinand Stamm, Jr., two sisters, Genevieve (Stamm) Ballweg and Edith (Stamm) Rhea.

VISITATION will begin at 4pm Monday March 10, 2008 with a 7:30pm prayer service all at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the funeral at the church on Tuesday.

SERVICES will be held Tuesday March 11, 2008 at 11:00 O’clock at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
