Louis J. Stark

Louis J. Stark, 89, of Cavalier, ND, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier, where he had resided since December 31, 2012. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Louis John Stark was born October 18, 1925 to John and Mathilda (Lembke) Stark. He grew up in the Neche area and attended rural school.
On February 18, 1955, he married Maida Wallin and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was employed by Warren Hartje Farms until his retirement. Louie was a member of United Lutheran Church of Cavalier.
Louis was an avid gardener and spent many hours in his flower and vegetable gardens. He was a devoted husband and a very proud dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. At his grandchildren's sporting events, he was a number one fan.
Survivors include his wife, Maida; son, Jeffrey (Deborah) Stark; daughter, Jodi Dub (Bob Mushitz); grandchildren: Brian (Jessica) Stark, Katie (Chance) Kline, Sarah Stark (Marcus Lee), Joshua (Christine) Dub, Christopher Dub (Katelynn Andres); great-grandchildren: Brianna, Greta, Natalie and Brooklyn; sisters: Gertrude Bjornson, Mary Hanson, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Reinhold; sisters: Minnie Briese and Alma Jackson.
