Loretta Forbes

Loretta Forbes age 84, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Pembina, ND, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pembina Evangelical Free Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Pembina Cemetery.
Loretta Margaret Margerum was born July 21, 1924, at Neche, ND to John and Florence (Godfrey) Margerum.
On February 25, 1942, she married Calvin Lee Forbes at Hallock, MN. They resided in Pembina until 2005, when they moved to Fargo.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Throughout the years, Loretta was active in numerous community and church activities. She enjoyed her yard, loved gardening, and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Calvin, children, Don (Lynda) Forbes, St. Cloud, MN and Bonnie "Susie" Turner, Fargo, ND, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, siblings, Paul (Clara) Margerum, Baudette, MN and Helen (Ed) Falk, Breckenridge, MN.
Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Robert Allan, and brothers, Lew and Harvey Margerum.

Casket Bearers: Loretta's Grandchildren, Sandra Forbes, Steven Forbes, John Turner, Mishelle Forbes, Holly Forbes Rucinski, James Turner, Julie Sieg, and Alicia Forbes Cain.
