LeVina A. Campbell age 91 of Cavalier and formerly of Glasston, ND., died on Friday, April 29, 2005, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Glasston Cemetery, Glasston, ND.
LeVina A. "Nonie" Dickie was born March 9, 1914, at Glasston, ND., to George and Eliza Jane (Tully) Dickie.
On January 21, 1933, she married Verner M. Campbell at Crookston, MN. , having had 66 years together. During the war they worked at war factories in Ohio and California. They farmed west of Glasston, ND. They enjoyed their motor home and traveled throughout the U.S. They also traveled to Montrose, Scotland, the birthplace of her father and to Australia. For 25 winters they resided in St. Petersburg, FL. Verner Campbell died on April 23, 1999.
She was active in the North Dakota China Painters and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, having served as Worthy Matron.
She is survived by nieces, Golda Bauer, Pembina, ND., Gladys Jackson and Ramona Murray, both of Lima OH., nephews, Eugene and Don Nameche both of Lima, OH.
LeVina was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, sister, Mildred Nameche, and brothers, George A., Albert, and William Dickie.
