Leslie Rourke

Leslie W. Rourke, 90, of Osnabrock, ND, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND.


Leslie was born June 29, 1924, to Gordon and Nancy (Rude) Rourke at their farm home in Easby Township, Cavalier County. Leslie attended school in Easby Township and completed his education in Osnabrock. Leslie was united in marriage to Doris Nelson on June 24, 1945 at Highland Church in Fairdale, ND. They‎ farmed and became the loving parents of two sons, Gary and Keith. He was a member of Dovre Lutheran Church, the Knights of Pythias, served on the Easby Township Board and the ND State Barley Show Board.


Leslie is survived by his wife Doris of Osnabrock; son Keith (Lynnell) Rourke of Roseau, MN; daughter-in-law Beryl Rourke of Shoreview, MN; five grandchildren: Todd Rourke, Kristen (Jay) Hodny, Gavin (Leah) Rourke, Tara Rourke, Ryan (Rachel) Rourke; and great-grandchildren: Riley, Derek, Briggs, Declan, Jax, Tal, Cole, Maija, and Aaron.


He was preceded in death by his parents, son Gary, and brother Orrin.


Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 11:00am, at the Dovre Lutheran Church of Osnabrock with the Reverend Ryan Fischer Officiating. Visitation will take place for one hour before the time of services at the church.


Interment- Union Cemetery, Osnabrock
