Leona C. Schneider

Leona C. Schneider, 76, of New Rockford, ND passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.

Leona Cilinia was born February 28, 1939 in Langdon, ND to John & Emma (Gapp) Schneider. She grew up near Mt. Carmel, ND and later moved to Grafton, Devils Lake, and New Rockford. She was currently a resident at 4th Corporation in New Rockford, ND. Leona loved being with her family and bugging her younger brothers. She had a good memory and knew the staff at 4th Corp. quite well. She liked hearing about their families, especially when new babies were born.

Surviving Leona are her siblings: James Schneider, Jean Westphal, Doris (Don) Borho, Mary Spratt, Bette Popowitz, Patrick Schneider, and Floyd (Shirley) Schneider; sister-in-law Jeredine Schneider; and many, many nieces and nephews. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Jerome Schneider, Kathleen Schneider, Bonita Fischer, and Allen Schneider; sisters-in-law Caroline Schneider and Judith Schneider; and brothers-in-law: Walter “Mike” Westphal, Ray Spratt, Mark Fischer, and Harry Popowitz.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will start one hour prior to service time at the church.
