Leona B. Nowatzki

Leona B. Nowatzki, 82, of Cavalier, ND passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Valley Memorial Homes Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.

Leona Bernice Schwartz was born October 20, 1936 at Langdon, ND, to Isadore and Helma (Beckwick) Schwartz.

On August 25, 1954, she married Cecil A. Nowatzki at Cavalier, ND. After their marriage, they lived in Cavalier, ND.

Some of the things she enjoyed were baking, cooking, shopping, dancing, BINGO, flower gardening, spending time with her family, and listening to Kevin’s band.

She is survived by her children; James Nowatzki and Kevin (Paula) Nowatzki, grandchildren: Allison and Wyatt Nowatzki all of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, Kay Schwartz, Cavalier, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father, James Jennings; husband, Cecil; sons: infant son Anthony, David, and Duane; brother, Herman Schwartz.

Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.
