Lee A. Einarson, age 59 of Edmore, ND died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2007 at the United Lutheran Church in Cavalier, ND. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, February 18 at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday.
Lee Allen Einarson, the son of John E. and Marjory K. (Lein) Einarson, was born on September 16, 1947 at Langdon, ND. He was raised in the Hallson area, and attended country school through the eighth grade. Lee attended Cavalier High School and graduated with the Class of 1965. He went on to attend and graduate from the Hanson Trade School in Fargo. Lee enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. in 1967, and served his country in Viet Nam through the TET Offensive. He returned from overseas and served as a drill instructor at the MCRD in San Diego. He received his honorable discharge in 1971. He worked locally until his marriage.
Lee was united in marriage to Constance Kram on November 1, 1974 and to this union were born three children. After their marriage Lee started farming and continued for fifteen years until taking his current job with Mikkelson Construction Company in Langdon as a heavy equipment operator.
He had various hobbies which included hunting, target shooting (both competitive and with family and friends), gun stock making, and motorcycle riding on his beloved Harley. Lee shot a deer in 1985, and in 1988 he achieved the honor of making the Boone and Crockett Record Book for that same deer.
Lee was a member of the Edmore Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a First Responder. He also belonged to the VFW and American Legion Posts in Edmore, and was a member of the Pembina County Sportsmans Club.
Lee's most treasured things in the whole world were his grandsons: Riley, Walker, and Gavin.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Connie Einarson of Edmore, ND; his sons: James Einarson of Devils Lake, ND and Tyler Einarson of Fargo, ND; his daughter: Annie (Jason) Bergland of Billings, MT; his three grandsons: Riley, Walker, and Gavin; his mother: Marjory Einarson of Cavalier, ND; his sister: Jean Fjeld of Park River, ND; other relatives and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his father: John Einarson in 1983; and his brother: Steven "Mark" Einarson in 1966.
Clergy: Rev. Doug Heskin.
Casket Bearers: John Forbes, Ben Hannesson, Edval Helle, Gordy Linnell, Randy Mikkelson, and Charles Sigvaldson.
