Laverne E. Miron

Laverne E. Miron, 82, Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Towner County Living Center, Cando, ND. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the funeral home for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the St. Brigid's Catholic Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
Lavern was born August 14, 1934 at Bathgate, ND to Homer and Irene (Chevalier) Miron. He grew up at Bathgate and attended school in Hamilton, ND, where he graduated from high school. From 1957 to 1996, he worked for Mayo Construction. Things he enjoyed were fishing, playing pool, and swimming.
On February 13, 1959, he married Voni Pariseau at Hallock, MN. She passed away July 14, 1994.
He is survived by his children: Michelle (John) Huffman, Benson, MN, Mike (Lori) Miron, Rugby, ND; grandchildren: Steve (Carissa) Huffman, Krista (Chad) Newman, Trisha (Mason) Ascheman; Haylee Miron, Kalia Borgen, Kyle Borgen (Steph Prellwitz); great-grandchildren: Logan and Claire Huffman; Harper and Morgan Ascheman; Konner, Sophia, and Kinley Borgen; siblings: Emile (Sandy) Miron, Betty Cuffe, Yvonne Plante, Francis Miron.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Elaine Beauchamp.
