Laureen Staples

Laureen M. Staples, 88, of Cavalier, ND passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Laureen M. Ault was born January 25, 1923, in the Hensel area to Laurence and Cora (Sommer) Ault. She grew up in the Hensel and Cavalier areas and graduated from Cavalier High School. After attending Aakers Business College she worked at the Pembina County Courthouse.
On May 23, 1946, she married Maynard S. Staples in Fairfax, VA. She was a homemaker and later worked at the Prairie Hills Gallery in Cavalier. Things she enjoyed were painting, crafts, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Laureen was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Cavalier.
Survivors include her children: Joleen Enerson, Payson, AZ, Sandra LeTexier, Cavalier, and Norval (Joanne) Staples, Hamilton, ND; grandchildren: DaNae (Carl) Creemens, Casa Grande, AZ, Gwen (Michael) Vetter, Rogers, MN, Jodi (Dale) Davidson, Cedarburg, WI, Les (Lisa) LeTexier and Justin (Angie) LeTexier, all of Cavalier; great grandchildren: Brittany Schurman, Kristin Vetter, Andrew and Alexis Vetter; McKenzie, Peyton, and Laney LeTexier; Isiah, Andre, Carmyn, Gabriel, and Chyane LeTexier; great great grandchildren: Wyatt, Remington, and Jaeden.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Maynard on January 31, 1998; son, Duane; sister, June Ault; and son-in-law: Kelly Enerson.
