Laura Bruers, 98, of Langdon, ND passed away August 28, 2008 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND.
Laura Kartes was born to John and Annie (Metzger) Kartes on Sept. 10, 1909 on the family farm near Mount Carmel. She attended a country school near home. Laura married Art Perius on November 26, 1930 and continued living on the farm until Artââ¬â¢s death in 1973. Laura then moved to Langdon where she later married John Bruers in 1981 and has since resided in Langdon. Laura enjoyed going camping, and reciting the rosary. She was active in the Catholic Daughters.
Laura is survived by her children: Val (Claudia) Perius of WA, Bim (Sis) Perius of Langdon, Art Jr. (Gloria) Perius of WA, Laurella (Mark) Roers of SC, and Mardel Robinson (Fiancĩ Jerry Bohn), MN; brother Lowell (Marilyn) Kartes; sisters: Bernadine Mikkelsen, and Florentine Gapp all of Langdon, as well as 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her husbands Art Perius, John Bruers, six infant children, her brothers, Sylvester, Mark, Clem, and Allen, two infant brothers, and two grandchildren.
VISITATION will take place from 5 to 7 Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND.
PRAYER SERVICE and ROSARY 7pm Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Brooks Funeral Home Langdon.
FUNERAL SERVICE Monday, September 1, 2008 at 10 O ââ¬ï¿½Clock at St. Alphonsus Church, Langdon.
INTERMENT Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, ND.
