Larry James Schroeder, the son of Russell Herman and Dorothy Elaine (Watkins) Schroeder was born December 4, 1943 in Langdon, North Dakota. He passed away at the age of 66 years on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, North Dakota.
Larry was raised in Langdon and attended Langdon Public School. Following his education, Larry worked in St. Cloud, Minnesota at Danielââ¬â¢s Funeral Home. He returned home to Langdon to work at Schroeder Furniture Store until retiring in 2006. He also worked as a bee keeper for several years, extracting honey. He thoroughly enjoyed giving it away to his family and friends. Larry was an avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing, hunting as well as bow hunting. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy of Langdon; three sisters, Peggy and her husband, Rick Beniot of Langdon, Susan and her husband, Henry Biesiot of Dickinson, and Kathryn of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Randy and his wife, Lynn of Lewisville, North Carolina and Steve of Lake Elsinore, California; special person and friend, Mike Goodrie of Grand Forks; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sandra Evans.
Memorial Mass: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, North Dakota with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Langdon. Father William McDermott, Officiate.
