Larry Duane Mostad, 73, of Langdon, ND, passed away August 13, 2011, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.
Larry was born December 17, 1937 to Wesley and Myrtle (Busse) Mostad. He went to school in country schools at Vang and Walhalla, ND. Larry served twice in the army, first in 1958 and again in 1961. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Pengilly on June 8, 1961 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND, which gave them 50 years together. A daughter and son were born to this union, Lori and Chris. Larry worked for Farmers Union and Cargill for 29 years.
Larry is survived by his wife: Marjorie of Langdon; daughter: Lori (Mike) Mitchell of Plymouth, MN; son: Chris (Julie) Mostad of Fargo, ND; and three grandchildren: Andy Roth & Alexis Roth both of Plymouth, MN and Ben Mostad of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by two sisters: Yvonne (Richard) Thompson of Seattle and LaRue (Jerome) Dosmann of Langdon, ND, several nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law: Edward (Bernice) Pengilly of Langdon, ND.
VISITATION will begin at 5pm with a 7pm prayer service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND on Monday, August 15, 2011. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Tuesday.
SERVICES will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 10:00am at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
