Larry Koehmstedt

Larry Koehmstedt, 52, of Langdon, and formerly of Maida, ND, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Larry was born November 7, 1959 at Langdon, ND, to Joe and Kristine Koehmstedt. Larry graduated from Langdon High School in the class of 1978. He custom combined for many years along with construction work, trucking, plumbing, and cement work, all while continuing his love of farming and gardening. He was known as the handyman to his family and friends, and he enjoyed doing the work as much as the people enjoyed having him do it.

Larry loved to 4-wheel with friends and enjoyed woodworking projects. He spent much time at Mt. Carmel Dam- cutting and splitting wood and then enjoying bonfires, great meals and socializing with his many American and Canadian friends. Larry loved people, and this love for people made him choose to be an organ donor.

Larry is survived by his son: Austin of Washington; parents; sisters: Cindy(Jerry) Restad, Becky (Jeff) Overby, and Jane (Dave) Hart all of Langdon; special friend Kathy Kram of Langdon; nieces and nephews: Ryan (Nicole) Restad, Chris (Jenni) Restad, Aaron (Kari Krom) Restad, Katie (Cory Hoffarth) Restad, Josh (Sarah) Overby, Justin (Megan Ratzlaff) Overby, Shannon Overby, Taylor (Jake) Carstenson, McKenzie Hart, Madison Hart; great -nieces and nephews: Keaton, Carter, Lauren, Tycen Restad, Hallie Overby; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

VISITATION will begin at 5:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the St. Alphonsus Parish Hall.

SERVICES will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:00 am at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon.
