Lara Strand

LARA LE STRAND, 19, of Hazen, North Dakota, passed away on Monday, July
30, 2012 in Bismarck, ND from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT, Thursday, August 2, 2012, at
Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Walt Wolff and Pastor Tim
Balfanz officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM CDT, Friday, August
3, 2012, at Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, ND.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:30, Wednesday, August
1, 2012, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen.

Lara was born on November 12, 1992 at Pembina County
Memorial Hospital to Robert and Candice (Byron) Strand. She was baptized
at Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND. Lara graduated from Hazen High
School in 2011 and was attending Bismarck State College for Visual Arts.

Lara was an extremely talented artist and musician. She had
a zest for life that was contagious and will be greatly missed by all of
her family and friends who loved her. Lara loved hunting with her
family and spending time with all of them. She loved her brother more
than anything. Lara also enjoyed spending time with her friends and all
people.

Lara is survived by her parents, Robert and Candice of
Hazen; her brother, Robert also of Hazen; her maternal grandfather,
Alfred Hanson of Mountain, ND; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John;
grandparents, Arthur and Anna Marie Strand, John Byron and Hope (Byron)
Hanson; and two uncles.
