Kristine "Stina" Johnson

Kristine "Stina" Johnson, 93, of Cavalier, ND passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Sigridur Kristine Johnson was born April 17, 1920, near Hallson, ND to Olafur and Sigridur (Bjarnason) Johnson. She grew up at attended school in the Hallson area.
On March 23, 1940, she married Bennie Johnson at Cavalier. After their marriage they farmed in the Hallson area. They later lived in Walhalla, before moving to Cavalier in 2005. Bennie passed away March 10, 2006.
Kristine enjoyed baking, spending time with her grandkids, and always had a pot of coffee on for family and friends.
Survivors include her sons: Eugene (Gladys) Johnson, Edmunds, WA, Cecil Johnson, Cavalier; grandchildren: Brian and Kerry Johnson; Wendy Brusseau, Wayne Johnson, Tami Johnson; Lisa Holland; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Lillian Johnson, Cavalier.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Dennis Johnson; grandchildren: Lori Gardner, Joni Odlin, Jeff Couch; daughter-in-law, Gail Johnson; 13 siblings.
