Kenneth Ridley

Kenneth Ridley, 86, of Langdon, ND passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Maple Manor Care Center.

Kenneth Ridley was born on August 11, 1923 on the family farm near Maida, ND to Ed and Florence Ridley. He was the eldest of seven children.

He graduated from Langdon High school in 1942. After high school, he served in the Army Air Corp from 1943-1945. His duties included being a tail gunner on a B26 bomber in the European campaign.

After returning to North Dakota, he worked on the family farm for a year. He and Edna Seeley were married on December 5, 1946. They had three children; Diane (Randy) Striegel of Lyman, WY, Sandi (Bruce) Nielsen of Racine, WI, and John K. Ridley of Devils Lake, ND.

Ken enjoyed his memberships in various fraternal organizations. He was an avid bowler and had his own team for 40 years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold and Kermit, sister Lucretia Moore, and grandson Josh Striegel.

Ken is survived by his wife, Edna (Seeley), of 63 years, his children, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters Marjorie Hemminger and Jean Meyer, brother Leslie(Marion) Ridley, and numerous relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Ken on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon at 10:15 a.m.
