Kenneth M. Basher

Kenneth M. Basher, Jr. age 53,of Backoo, ND died on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Kenneth Michael Basher known to friends as "Bash" was born March 7, 1953, at Fargo, ND to Kenneth and Delores (Erbstoesser) Basher. He grew up and attended school in Grafton and served in the Army National Guard. Most of his adult life he lived in the Grafton, Oakwood, and Cavalier areas.
On August 20, 1999, he married Judith Miller at Cavalier.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Alexander (Stephanie) Basher, Mandan, ND and Duane Basher, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren, Anja and Michael Basher; stepchildren, Revel (Doug) Sapa, Cavalier, ND; John (Stacey) Schlittenhard, Deridder, LA; Becky Schlittenhard, Fargo, ND; step-grandchildren, Nicolle and Toni Sapa; John, Bryan, and David Schlittenhard; parents, Kenneth and Delores Basher, Grafton, ND; siblings, Danny (Karen) Basher, Baudette, MN; Sheryl (Bill) Green, Drayton ,ND; Karen (John) Kramer, Bay City, MI; Kevin Basher and Michelle (Andy) Komenetz all of Grafton, ND; Melanie (John) Mentz, Lawton, MI; adult foster children, Steven Reck and Daisy Poppenhagen.
Ken was preceded in death by his son, Michael; and grandparents, Ida and Blake Basher and Mabel and Fred Erbstoesser.
