Keith D. Ballweg

Keith Ballweg, 73, of Langdon, ND, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society in Devils Lake, ND.

Keith was born February 1, 1945, in Langdon, ND, to Clarence and Genevieve (Stamm) Ballweg. He grew up and went to school in the Langdon area and graduated from St. Alphonsus High School. He continued his schooling at North Dakota College of Forestry in Bottineau, ND. On February 13, 1965, Keith married Karen Pederson, and they had two children, Nadine and Brock. Keith was a member of the Army National Guard of North Dakota where he was a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist Five. As he farmed the land, he was also very involved in farm machinery and granular chemicals and pioneered the first air seeder in North Dakota. Keith was a member of American Legion and Eagles Aerie #3454 in Langdon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Keith is survived by his children: Nadine Ballweg (Perry Weiner) of West Fargo, ND, and Brock Ballweg (Nancy Kurtz) of Webster, ND; grandchildren: Alexander Stremick (Kaley Klein), Riley Stremick, Kendra Stremick, Ashley Ballweg, Joehey (Matt) Cici, and Channing Mowery; great-grandchildren: Zander Stremick and Caleb Cavanaugh; sisters Gayle (Larry) Coles of Valley City, ND, and Sheila (Rich) Pulju of Cold Spring, MN; step-sister Carol (Ken) Myhre of Langdon; and step-brothers Dale (Becky) Mann of Grand Forks, ND, and David (Toni) Mann from Bismarck, ND. He is preceded in death by parents Clarence and Genevieve (Stamm) Ballweg, brother Darrell (Cheryl) Ballweg, sister-in-law Cheryl Mukomela (Darrell) Ballweg, step-mother Lorraine Ballweg, and step-brother Dennis Mann.

A funeral service for Keith will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND.
