Kathy Lafferty, 57, of Walhalla, ND passed away Monday, February 13, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Katherine Horgan was born June 24, 1954, at Cavalier, ND to Joseph and Mamie (Beaudoin) Horgan. She was raised in Walhalla where she attended school.
On February 14, 1981, she married Floyd Lafferty at Grafton, ND. Kathy worked as a CNA at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla and the Pioneer Rest Home in Bathgate, ND. She also worked for Clark Farms.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, canning from her husband's garden, and taking care of her flowers. Her heart belonged to her children, husband, and most of all her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd; children: Michelle (Jeff) Manley, Velva, ND and Jason and Dixie Lafferty, Walhalla; grandchildren: Ashley, Allison, Alea, and Addelyn Manley; Bradyn and Jeslyn Lafferty; Brad Keckler; Brycen, Steven, and Sadee Ouellette; siblings: Myrna (Butch) Readel, Mountain, ND, Joan (Henry) Marcelin, McAllister, MT, Dan (Janice) Horgan, Walhalla, and Wade (Tammy) Horgan, Graham, WA.
Preceding her in death were her parents and granddaughter, Abby Jo Manley.
Celebrant: Rev.Fr. Jude Okafor.
Music: Bernadine Kopf, Organist and Lisa Dalzell, Soloist.
Casket Bearers: Chris Brusseau, Jeff Brusseau, Shon Horgan, Jacob Lafferty, Travis Lafferty, Todd Marcelin, and Ryan Veer.
