Kathryn Ann Stewart, after a long illness, passed away Saturday December 23, 2006 in Langdon, ND surrounded by her family.
Kathryn was born October 6, 1933 in Drayton, ND to Harold and Nellie (Newans) Ferguson.
Kathryn, after graduating from Drayton High School, attended Northwest Technical Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, MN for two years. She graduated and began working as a medical lab technician in Jamestown and then Grafton, ND. Kathryn married Raymond L. Stewart on September 16, 1954 in Drayton.
Kathryn and Raymond began their married life in Petersburg, ND; later moving to Grand Forks and many places, across the country from Virginia to Nevada, with Raymond's career.
Kathryn continued to work as a lab technician until her retirement to care for her mother Nellie for two years until Nellie's death in 1980.
Kathryn and Raymond returned home to Drayton in 1988. They moved to Langdon, ND in August, 2005 to be nearer to their children. Kathryn died at her daughter's home where she had been lovingly cared for by her daughter Janell and others for the seven months preceding her death.
She is survived by her husband Raymond L. Stewart, children Scott (Patricia) Stewart and Janell (Richard) Eklof, her brother John (Jack) Ferguson, Grandchildren: Jonathan and Katy Eklof and Ian and Elliot Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Cameron Ferguson and an infant grandson, Michael Eklof.
