Kathleen Raaen

Kathleen Marie Kapaun was born November 10, 1944, to Henry 'Hank' and Elizabeth (Puhr) Kapaun. She attended grade school in Alice and attended High School in Enderlin where she graduated in the class of 1962. She worked for JC Penney in Valley City, ND. Kathleen and Vernon Raaen were united in marriage in 1969 at Coeur d’ Alene, ID. They lived in many places before making their home in Maida in 1980. They moved into Langdon in 1993. Kathleen worked at the Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon for 15 years. Kathy had a passion for gardening and canning. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

Kathy is survived by her husband Vernon, daughters: Vernetta (Von) Christianson of Langdon, ND; Karleen (John) Zaun of Valley City, ND; and Janelle Raaen of Maple Grove, MN, grandsons Kody, Kale, Dakota, Caleb, Brady and Aidyn, granddaughter Kamry, brothers Kenneth Kapaun of Alice, ND and Jerome (Joyce) Kapaun of Mapleton, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

SERVICES will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.at the United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

VISITATION will take place on Wednesday, November 3, from 5 to 7pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Thursday.

INTERMENT Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Alice Community Cemetery in Alice, ND.
