Julia A. Schlecht

Julia A. Schlecht age 70 of Cavalier, ND and formerly of Minot, ND died on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at her home in Cavalier. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, September 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery, Cavalier, ND.
Julia A. Hoppman was born June 25, 1936, at Minot, ND to Theodore and Emily (Simonson) Hoppman. She grew up and attended school in Minot and graduated from high school in 1954. She worked for Woolworth Department Store for several years.
On October 26, 1958, she married John Schlecht at Minot, ND. After their marriage they farmed in the Minot area. Julia also ran a daycare in her home. In 2002, they moved to Cavalier.
She is survived by her husband, John; son, Brian (Christal) Schlecht, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren, Alex, Sally Ann, Jasmin, and Brayson; and sister, Ella Mae Hoppman, Minot, ND.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents.
